Program Coordinator (1 position)
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the program activities
- Supporting the onboarding of team members for the Canada Summer Jobs program
- Supervising & supporting the roles and responsibilities of the mental health ambassadors and social media coordinator
- Supporting the development and facilitation of the community engagement, fundraising and sponsorship strategy
- Engagement and building connections with community stakeholders
- Mental Health training for team members
- Leveraging creative community connections for program marketing
- Evaluation of the summer jobs program through a final report
Key Qualifications
- Enrolled in a college and/or university program linked with health and wellness or completed such programming
- Program evaluation and supervisory experience is an asset
- Mental Health First Aid, ASIST and/or Safe Talk is an asset
- Fluent in verbal communication of a South Asian language is an asset
- Demonstrated passion for mental health advocacy and a commitment to promoting awareness, destigmatization, and support for mental health issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently, to organize and execute mental health awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives
Requirements
- Must be a resident of Ontario
- You must be between the ages of 18-30 years old
- You are required to work 35 hours/week in a hybrid model
- You are required to have your own laptop and cell phone
- You must be legally allowed to work Full Time in Canada (Citizen or permanent resident)
- Weekday evening/weekend flexibility may be required
Contract length: 8 weeks beginning on June 17th to Aug 10th 2024
Salary: $16.55 per hour

Social Media Coordinator (1 position)
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement and awareness for the non-profit organization as a whole as well as for the summer programming
- Create compelling content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and opportunities to engage with the audience
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure social media content aligns with organizational goals and campaigns
- Analyze social media metrics and provide regular reports to track performance and effectiveness of campaigns
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to optimize the organization’s online presence
Qualifications
- Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for social media content
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with social media and content creation is highly recommended

Mental Health Ambassador (3 positions)
Responsibilities
- Supporting administrative tasks of the program
